Rational Emotive Behavior

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Is a cognitive behavioral form of therapy. If you change the way you think then you can change your life. Epictetus, a first century Stoic philosopher, said “Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view in which they see them.” Irrational beliefs in REBT are replaced by rational beliefs through the counseling process.Self talk or internal verbalizations are often negative thoughts that should be changed. Simply put, change the way you think and change your life.

REBT

REBT is similar to Cognitive Behavior Therapy because they both address irrational thoughts . However, there are key differences for example;REBT looks at the philosophical bases of emotional problems. REBT promotes self acceptance and in REBT all anger is inappropriate.
